LIBC and Pharma Research

In 2012, the LIBC will focus on the new hotspot 'LIBC-Pharma'. In this context, the LIBC will organize a public symposium titled: Drugs & Brains. This symposium will be held in Dutch.
 

Publiekssymposium 'Drugs & Brains'

Op 26 oktober 2012 organiseert het LIBC een Publiekssymposium getiteld 'Drugs & Brains'.
Deze publieksdag zal vragen beantwoorden zoals:
- Kan het gebruik van medicijnen invloed hebben op uw persoonlijkheid?
- Wat zijn de (langere termijn) gevolgen van het slikken van de leerpil Ritalin?
- Hoe zit het met het gebruiken van medicijnen en rijvaardigheid?

Het LIBC organiseert een posterwedstrijd waarbij je, naast het feit dat je poster overal te zien is, ook nog eens € 200 kunt winnen.

Leids Babylab neemt als eerste NIRS-scanner in gebruik

• Collaborating with South Africa in research on anxiety disorders.An international network of European universities, including Leiden University/LUMC, will be collaborating with the University of Cape Town in a research project on anxiety disorders. Dr Nic van der Wee is a psychiatrist at the Leiden University Medical Centre and one of the key players in the Leiden Institute for Brain and Cognition (LIBC).  He is the Leiden representative of the new network. The programme is called EUSARNAD (European South African Research Network for Anxiety Disorders) and is subsidised by the European Union’s Marie Curie programme. Read more..
